SHARE A MEAL WITH A COMMUNITY MEMBER IN NEED

Next time you are dining in or ordering food to go at a participating restaurant, donate part of your meal to someone in your community that can benefit from your generosity.
It may prevent someone from going to sleep hungry.

NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU

Its Really Simple...

Too often we just leave food on our plate to be discarded. Now, instead of throwing away food we can help to feed someone. Without any additional cost to you, at the time you place an order simply elect to donate half of your main entree item.

You will receive half of that food item and someone else will benefit from the other half.

You would be giving up only a portion of your entree item, that’s all!

Your appetizers, side items, drinks and desserts are not affected by your donation.

If each of us did this just once a week, think of the difference it could make.

Sharing is a wonderful thing.

Especially to those you have shared with.

Across the country and in our very own communities there are many that have fallen on hard times. For some its temporary while for others the road back is more challenging.

A small step from each of us to help once in a while can mean so much.

And it requires so little on our part.

Platform Under Development

  • You will be able to opt in to be notified of a participating food establishment when you are in or near the establishment. Alternatively, you will be able to enter a zip code or city to find a participating establishment.
  • Select the partcipating establishment and hit the donate button. A unique code will be created for each donation.
  • At the time of placing your order, provide the code to the participating establishment at which time you will receive notification of your donation acceptance.
  • One donation will be half of an entree. Each donation is one credit. Two credits go towards making one meal. You and other generous individuals are teaming up together to help members of the community.
  • Each participating food establishment will have signed on to provide an agreed upon equivalent monetary value for the donation you made.
  • Caring corporations and other local businesses will also be giving back to the community through matching participation.
  • Donations collected will go towards meals which will be provided to community members.

A simple kindness by you will go towards feeding for a person in need. Now, that’s got to make anyone feel proud of themselves!

About Us

One winter evening we were having a family meal at a restaurant. As the evening went on we could see that there were plenty of leftovers. We were faced with two options, take the leftovers home with us or let the food go to waste.

What if there was a third and better option? That’s when the concept of Project Meal Share was founded.
